Values

Our Values serve as the guide for what we stand for.

They define what matters to us, shape our culture, and reflect the beliefs we won’t compromise on.

Together with our Principles, they create a shared foundation for how we work, make decisions, and grow as a team.

1. Purpose over noise.

Our mission guides every decision. If it doesn't help us move closer to our north star, we don’t do it.

2. Integrity, always.

No BS. No exploitation. Just value. We act in service of our users (not advertisers, trends, or vanity metrics). We speak plainly, make decisions with care, and let real impact drive growth. We strive to work with partners who share our values: ethical, user-first, and transparent.

3. Human, not polished.

We show up as people, not personas. We believe the most meaningful connections happen when someone has a need and someone else says, “I can help.” Here, asking for help is welcomed, not judged. We build real bonds through vulnerability, honesty, empathy and generosity by showing up as full humans, not our job titles.

Backgrounds and beliefs may differ, but when we align around a shared goal, we build strong, joyful collaborations.

4. Open by default.

Transparency is how we build trust. We work in public because we believe openness makes us better. Critique sharpens our thinking. Input shapes our direction. Anyone with insight or curiosity is invited to contribute.

5. Community-powered.

We build for and with each other. Meetball was born through collective effort and community is in our DNA. We believe in lifting others as we climb, and building what none of us could alone.

6. Earned trust, fair rewards.

Trust is offered early to people to step up and take initiative. Greater responsibility is earned through measured outcomes and relationships, not titles. Those who shape what we're building share in the value we create. We appreciate and recognize everyone who contributes to our mission, and we believe they should be fairly rewarded for their impact.

7. Humility over ego.

We stay open, curious, and forge forward. We challenge ideas, not each other, and treat feedback as fuel. Progress happens when we let go of pride and stay focused on what’s possible. We're not attached to our work, it's ok to change our mind and pivot when we know better. The best work wins, not the loudest voice.

8. Build what's missing.

To us, innovation means noticing what’s not there and having the guts to build it. We don’t copy trends or play it safe. We question assumptions, challenge the status quo, and create what people actually need.

When a great solution already exists, we’ll shamelessly adapt it, credit the source, and build on it to what’s missing so it works for our community.

9. Work that fuels growth.

Good work gives more than it takes. We see work as a place for creative expression and personal growth. When people build things that matter, they grow as makers, teammates, and humans. Confidence, purpose, and joy come from contributing to something bigger than ourselves. We support each other not just in what we build, but in who we become along the way.

10. Pragmatism with principles.

Our values guide us, but reality keeps us honest. We aim high, but make thoughtful decisions in the face of trade-offs. We know we won’t always get it right but we own our choices with confidence, by staying aligned with our mission. And when we fall short, we hold ourselves accountable, learn, and do better because growth is only worth it if it's earned.
